According to ESPN, high-quality grass is better adapted to cold, drought, wear, and disease. The effort that was put into the grass for the Super Bowl is exceptional, costing a whopping $800,000.

After witnessing the stars from the Chiefs and Eagles slip on the field during Super Bowl LVII, fans aren’t sold on the idea of the supposedly ‘high-quality’ grass. They remarked on the poor field conditions. During the live broadcast, commentators noticed instances that almost resulted in injuries from slipping. For a game as big as the Super Bowl, bad field conditions are not something players should have to worry about. The stir caused in the NFL world may perhaps lead the league to look more into how the situation can be improved.
