Denver Broncos are in the middle of a struggling NFL season. They suffered another setback on Monday as linebacker Aaron Patrick suffered a torn ACL against the chargers. Meanwhile, the nature of the injury was unusual. Patrick collided with a media person on the sidelines of the game. It would mean the 25-year-old will miss the remaining season. Earlier, in 2020, Raiders’ Johnathan Abram had sprained his shoulder when he crashed into a TV cart.

Aaron Patrick’s agent, Lamont Smith, explained how the injury occurred. “I was very disturbed about the way the injury occurred with the carpet being on the sideline like that. His cleat got lodged in the carpet trying to avoid the media person,” he said. Several fans expressed upset over the injury. They vented out their frustration on Twitter. They asked why players are getting injured in unusual manners.

Patrick went outside the field while trying to make a tackle. He collided with a media member. It caused him to take an awkward step on a carpet. As a result, the athlete fell down and hurt his knee during the process.
