NFL legend Terry Bradshaw is known for his weird sense of humor. And that was at full display during the Fox Sports media day ahead of the Super Bowl LVII. The former Pittsburgh Steelers QB is battling serious health conditions in recent times. Amidst all those concerns, Bradshaw addressed dying on the show in an odd interview.

Bradshaw has been working with Fox since way back in 1994. And the legendary QB is open to dying on national television for a very weird reason.

Terry Bradshaw addresses mortality amid health concerns

Former Steelers QB Terry Bradshaw is open to dying on ‘FOX NFL Sunday’. Amid concerns about his health in recent times, the four-time Super Bowl champion talked about dying on the Network he has worked on for almost three decades.

“I told Fox, ‘if I could just die on the show. Think about the ratings, right? I mean, are we not about ratings? That’d be huge. Not only that, it’d be a huge carry-over. Then all the networks would be saying ‘Bradshaw died on the Fox NFL Sunday. Can you imagine… Huge stuff,” Bradshaw said during the FOX Sports media day ahead of Super Bowl LVII.

The health of the legendary QB has been a major cause of concern in recent times. In November 2021, doctors diagnosed Bradshaw with bladder cancer. He beat cancer, but it returned in another form shortly after that. He got a rare form of skin cancer called Merkel cell carcinoma in March of last year. And at the age of 74, death is on everybody’s mind.

He may be talking about death at this time, but he lived to be one of the most successful QBs in NFL history. And he was a part of the Steelers dynasty that ruled the league in the 70s.

The backbone of the Steelers dynasty 

Terry Bradshaw tore up the NFL in his prime during the 70s. The Steelers absolutely dominated the league with Bradshaw under center. And during that period, the Pittsburgh franchise won four Super Bowl titles in a short span of six years. The only franchise that has dominated the same way is the New England Patriots in the Tom Brady era.

Bradshaw played for the Steelers for 14 seasons, racking up 27,989 passing yards. He scored 212 touchdowns through the air and 32 TDs from the ground. Bradshaw is also a two-time Super Bowl MVP.

Fans won’t like the legend talking about death at any moment. The NFL world wishes to see him talk about football for years to come.
