NFL analyst Mike Florio thinks Aaron Rodgers and the Packers missed a trick or two, in the NFL trade deal. Matt LaFleur and his men went empty-handed in the trade war in a season of struggles. Previously, the team thought of the need for a receiver. However, they missed the bus, and A-Rod gave an unapologetic response. 

That’s not my area of focus,” a nonchalant Rodgers said, and later surprised fans by saying, “it just didn’t pan out.” Meanwhile, the 57 YO Florio questioned the intent of the Packers in finding new players. He also indirectly asked why A-Rod was justifying the team.

He had a twinkle in his eyes and I thought it was odd that he even went there to say, hey, it’s not like we dumped you guys. Like, did anyone really think that the Packers were going to be sellers at the trade? The deadline is still alive for a wild card berth. They’re not done, they’re not dead,” he said. Florio is looking for new buys while the Packers are happy with the existing bunch of talents. 

Packers missed Chase Claypool deal 

The Packers looked like the “best deal” for receiver Chase Claypool. The 24 YO is a former Steelers receiver, who was traded to the Bears for a second-round pick. However, the trade deadline closed on November 1, and the Packers did not pick, neither Claypool nor any other players. It surprised fans and analysts alike.

Notably, A-Rod and his men lost five out of their eight games and lacked coordination in their games. Yet they did not make an aggressive move. It also put the veteran analyst Florio in a fix. He wondered whether A-Rod can still feel calm about the losing streak of the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers expressed his thoughts about the team combination when he took part in the Pat McAfee show. The 38 YO said he felt it was time to rotate the players who continued to make mental errors.

In a presser, the four-time MVP spoke about the Packers’ General Manager, Brian Gutekunst. A-Rod elaborated on GM’s disinterest in acquiring new talents. “Brian didn’t think whatever was out there was worth whatever was required of what was given up. That just sends a message to us, that we’ve got to play with the guys we’ve got and win with the guys we’ve got,” the 38 YO concluded.

The Packers definitely need a move on from their debacle season. Fans would hope the team regains their focus and plays according to their best abilities. Otherwise, they fear, it will be too late.
