Meanwhile, Wilson’s former teammate, Richard Sherman, recently showed support for the quarterback, as he blamed the Broncos organization for signing Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks. Notably, Sherman was Wilson’s teammate with the Seahawks for almost 6 years and they won the Super Bowl back in 2014.
Former Seahawks CB Richard Sherman blames the Broncos for Russell Wilson trade
In a recent interview, Sherman said, “You can’t just put anybody in any scheme and think ‘Oh I’m just gonna make him fit my scheme’. It’s almost like, they didn’t even watch a tape of him in Seattle and say ‘hey okay, this is what he likes to do.’“

“If you have Russell Wilson run the plays that he’s run and had success with, he will be the guy you expect him to be but when you have him run offense, he has not run in the ten years he’s played, expect him to struggle until he figures it out,” he further shared his opinion about the Russell Wilson trade.

It is worth noting that the Broncos traded for Wilson this offseason from the Seahawks for a record amount. As per reports, they agreed to a five-year deal worth $245 million. Later, they could extend the contract for seven years. Earlier, Rob Walton bought the Broncos team for $4.65 billion; thus, he became the richest owner of an NFL team. With money out of the equation, Denver went all out for Wilson, which did not go exactly according to plan.

Wilson found some form during the game against the Jaguars
Meanwhile, DangeRUSS recently took part in the NFL game in London, where the Broncos faced the Jaguars team at Wembley Stadium. Wilson missed the previous week’s game against the Jets due to a hamstring injury. While traveling to London, the quarterback did some conditioning on his hamstring mid-flight, which also drew plenty of criticism from the fans and experts.

Despite the injury concerns, he played in London and won the game for his team. In that game, he threw 252 yards for one touchdown, as the Broncos beat the Jaguars by 21-17. Although their chances of qualifying for the playoffs are very slim, they could look to build a great team around Wilson for the next season.
