The current Denver Broncos quarterback left his former team with a foul taste in his mouth. The relationship between Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks was going downhill, but it only became worse when the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback allegedly asked the owners of the team to fire head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider from the team. This happened when he was leaving the franchise. The news is hot and eyebrow-raising. Hence, fans did not hold back from giving their genuine reaction.

The Athletic released a detailed report on Friday which revealed that DangeRuss believed Carroll and Schneider held him back from winning another Super Bowl ring and individual awards. And instead of them, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year QB wanted to bring the former New Orleans Saints HC, Sean Payton, to the Seahawks. But that did not go as planned. In fact, the top team officials thought it would be best to trade the nine-time Pro Bowler.

Throughout the course of 15 games, he threw for 3,524 yards with career lows in touchdowns (16) and completion% (60.5). The Broncos finished last in the AFC West with a record of 5-12, including a defeat to Seattle in Week 1. Wilson, although, claimed that he never asked the owners to fire Carroll and Schneider. “I love Pete and he was a father figure to me and John believed in me and drafted me as well. I never wanted them fired. All any of us wanted was to win. I’ll always have respect for them and love for Seattle,” he wrote on Twitter.
