It led to Aaron Rodgers urging the Packers to reacquire Cobb in a trade from Houston Texans before the 2021 season. The Jets have also added Allen Lazard, another desired receiver on Rodgers’ list, to their team with a four-year, $44 million deal. Rodgers had three potential targets on his list, including Odell Beckham Jr. and Marcedes Lewis. Beckham Jr. ultimately signed with Baltimore Ravens while Lewis remains a free agent. Nonetheless, the Jets were fortunate enough to acquire Randall Cobb’s services as one of the league’s top slot receivers.

Cobb has put up solid numbers over the past two seasons with the Packers. In 2022, he recorded 34 receptions for 417 yards and a touchdown over 13 games, while in the season prior he had 28 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games. Cobb has played for three teams throughout his career, the Packers, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Texans. With his skills and chemistry with Rodgers, Jets fans are hopeful that Cobb will make a significant impact on their team during this upcoming season.
