The National Football League happens to be one of the biggest tournaments in the world, and with each passing year, the NFL continues to get richer and richer. However, Aaron Rodgers believes that the fraternity must also consider players’ welfare as its popularity continues to rise.

One of the most concerning issues these days is frequent injuries incurred by the players, especially the non-contact ones that cost them nearly an entire season.

The prime reason behind these injuries is the artificial turfs laid out for the games, considering the financial benefits. However, this ignorance often goes hard on players, and Rodgers has been the victim of such circumstances several times. The unavailability of athletes eventually affects the team and its progress going deep into the season.

For the past few days, the quarterback voiced about using grass fields instead of artificial turfs across the country and shot arrows at the league management to consider this issue seriously.

While speaking to the reporters ahead of the Titans matchup, Rodgers mentioned that the changes would cost the league a few million, but on the other side, NFL happens to be a big money market capable enough to make the changes. He pointed out the flow of money, calling it one of the richest leagues in the world. “There’s a lot of money in this league. Everybody’s making a lot of money. So just it’s about the cost,” Rodgers said to the reporters.

Apart from grass fields, Rodgers has been criticizing about 17 games a season. Calling it a move for monetary gains disregarding player safety, the quarterback mentioned that any decision inside the league happens with a big vote and consent of ‘certain’ owners.

In this context, he called out such owners and explained his role in the NFLPA representing the Packers. “That’s a stretch a little bit,” Rodgers said about his participation.
