Ever since Aaron Rodgers made his wish of joining the New York Jets known, the entire NFL world has had their eyes fixated on the deal. While an agreement has not yet been reached between the New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers is still expected to land in New York. And, the QB seems to be in a difficult situation as far as this trade dram is concerned.

The only question mark remaining around the trade is ‘compensation’. The Green Bay Packers would certainly like to churn as much as they can from the Rodgers trade and looks like the Jets are not going to give in completely either. With both sides looking out for the best possible deal, Rodgers’ value gets tested immensely.

Earlier this month, Rodgers shocked the entire NFL world by announcing his decision. During his appearance on the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers revealed, “I made it clear that my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York Jets. And I haven’t been holding anything up, at this point, it’s compensation that the Packers are trying to get for me and kind of digging their heels in.

Speaking of compensation, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that the Packers and the Jets have still not been able to decide on an ideal deal for both sides.

Sources continue to say, the sides are far apart when it comes to compensation, and the Jets feel like they made a fair run at this, and feels like right now they are bidding against themselves because Rodgers has made it clear where he wants to play,” he said.

Garofolo believes that the upcoming NFL drafts could be a worthy destination to finalize the whereabouts of the deal, “So, perhaps there will be some conversations in Arizona that could potentially lead to a deal whether in the short term or again right up against that draft. But as we stand right now, I don’t believe either the Jets or the Packers will be flying to Arizona knowing that a deal is imminent,” he added.

If the Packers want picks in exchange for Aaron Rodgers then they should speed up the process before the NFL draft. However, both teams want to get this down to absolute perfection and maybe that’s why the delay.

A couple more Green Bay might be packing their bags along with Aaron Rodgers. The New York Jets have their eyes set on wide receivers Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard, as well as tight-end Marcedes Lewis.

Since then, Lazard has already lined up with the Jets, landing himself a 4 year, $44,000,000 contract. While Cobb and Lewis still remain on the market, the Jets have added Kansas City’s speed demon Meloce Hardman to their ranks.

Speculations about Rodgers handing the Jets a wishlist have been doing the rounds for a while now. Rodgers however was quick to deny these rumors, “It’s so stupid. Now did they ask me about certain guys that I played with, of course, did I talk glowingly about teammates that I love, yeah? Why wouldn’t you?”
