Before the season, Wilson’s move to the Broncos was highly anticipated. Unfortunately, things are not panning out as planned. The Broncos’ supposed redemption has not given the franchise any hint of his former glory on the field. Aside from that, Wilson’s relationship with the team has not had the best reports. 9News’ Mike Klis, stirred up more talk surrounding Wilson’s relationship with the team with his tweet.
The NFL world makes haste to take a shot at Russell Wilson
Wilson’s wife, Ciara, threw the quarterback a birthday party. According to Klis’ tweet, there were not many players in attendance. The tweet said, “There’s been some gossip about Russell Wilson’s standing in locker room. Here’s some context. Wilson and the Broncos have their work cut out
A star quarterback losing the support of his locker room in his first year after signing a hefty contract is not something the Broncos would want. However, there’s nothing concrete that points to irreparable damage in the team’s relationships. But, Denver is having a terrible season. After their loss against the Panthers, they find themselves at a humiliating 3-8. No team would want to be in this position, especially after acquiring one of the biggest stars in the league.
Denver side has yet to see any semblance of Wilson’s former glory on the field. The team has not been consistent for the majority of the season. They are also ranked at the bottom of the AFC West. The Broncos will take on the Baltimore Ravens in their next bout. Broncos Nation has not witnessed any magic from their team this season. They won’t be keeping their hopes too high. But optimistic fans will anticipate a change of fate with a victory against Lamar Jackson and his team.
