It’s been a long and agonizing wait for NFL fans but football is finally live again this week. Kansas City Chiefs outplayed Houston Texans by a 34-20 scoreline on opening day earlier this week. The rest of the remaining 30 teams will play on the weekend.
Dak Prescott-led Dallas Cowboys are one of the strongest teams on paper this year. The likes of Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Ezekiel Elliott, Demarcus Lawrence, and Xavier Woods will start the season as core players once again. Rookies WR CeeDee Lamb and CB Trevon Diggs will also play a big role for the Cowboys this year.
Here’s what a certain NFL sportscaster said about the Cowboys.

Skip Bayless comments on Dallas Cowboys ahead of their campaign opener
On the latest segment of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, host Skip Bayless once again spoke about Dallas Cowboys and their quarterback, Dak Prescott. Bayless made some rather insensitive statements about Prescott’s mental health on Thursday. The seasoned quarterback spoke about the issues he faced after the death of his older brother earlier this year.
Skip appeared to make some sort of apology on Friday’s show and clarified the context of his comments. He then went on to talk about Dallas’ upcoming opener against Los Angeles Rams at the SoFi Stadium on Sunday night.
“The oddsmakers fear my team, because my team, the Dallas Cowboys, America’s team, on Sunday night football is a three-point favorite at SoFi against a Rams team that just two years ago was obviously in the Super Bowl.”

“Do I think my team’s better than the Rams? I do. Do I want to believe in my soul that they’re being a little bit underrated because there’s a lot of firepower herer, a lot of new firepower on defense? I do,” Bayless said on his show.
On paper, the Cowboys are one of the top five teams in the league alongside the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Baltimore Ravens. In head coach Mike McCarthy, they can find a new dynamic moving forward as they set their sights on a Super Bowl trophy this season.
