Since kickoff, the Philadelphia Eagles have been having issues with the playing surface. As per Al.com, Jalen Hurts changed his cleats in the first half after he slipped into one of the large logos painted on the turf. ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates expressed his disappointment with the playing surface.

The Super Bowl LVII turf may have complaints about being slippery. But it took a lot of effort, modern technology, and science to develop the variety of Bermudagrass called Tahoma 31. The league spent two years developing the special grass grown at a sod farm in Phoenix, which cost $800,000.

The Arizona Cardinals’ home field is exceptional because the playing surface is on a massive, rolling track. Since the unique grass was installed two weeks ago, they have rolled the surface outside the stadium. It has unfettered access to Arizona’s sunshine.
