Going back to last season in Packers’ Week 9 game against the Lions, Rodgers was seen struggling on the ground and threw three interceptions which cost a lot for his team. The Lions were successful in stopping him and Rodgers played arguably one of the worst games of his massive career. Big entities like Lil Wayne also showed their disappointment, tweeting, “RIP to the season we should’ve gotten rid of 12 before the season”.
The Lions’ defense was ranked dead last in the last NFL season. The Lions were allowing rival teams to more than 260 passing yards per game and also to score touchdowns on their red zone trips. Despite this, Rodgers seen unsuccessful to capitalize on their weaknesses.
Rodgers’ performance was particularly discouraging. Since 2013, this was his first multi-interception game against divisional opponents. Also, he had only two interceptions in the red zone if we look at his previous two MVPs campaigns.
