Tom Brady will go down as one of the greatest players in the NFL. He has had an exemplary career with a whopping 7 Super Bowl rings. 6 of those rings came with the New England Patriots. Furthermore one of those rings came with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. No one can raise an iota of doubt against the greatness of Brayd’s career. However, this was not the case when Brady was first entering the league. As a draft pick, he was termed fairly average. He even received some bold criticisms for the way he was built.

While Brady is humble right now, his youth self was a little less filtered. Upon being told about his draft review, Brady had some brash words for his critics. There was an interesting interaction on live television as Brady spoke up against his critics before he went on to shock the NFL world in the upcoming days.

Brady faced some intense criticism after his draft. He was termed as skinny, not fit enough to play, and many more criticisms. However, it seems like Brady was able to channel these negative critiques into bringing on a career that has been beyond exemplary. While on a TV show, Brady was even asked about these critiques. He had an interestingly candid answer to his naysayers.

Brady spoke about how he will continue having belief in himself and overcoming the kind of prejudice people have against his style of play. Furthermore, he also mentioned that words from his naysayers were something that got him excited to perform. He commented on negative comments and said, “Well, that kind of gets me fired up because I think and you know, the hell these people know that sounds like Joe Montana right there.”

Brady certainly didn’t hold back as he made it clear that negative comments were just bits of motivation for him. Furthermore, the quarterback received an interesting review for the way he played. One of the most popular reviews termed him as a 5th-round pick. It came from a prominent football analyst.

One of the more popular Draft reviews about the quarterback came from football analyst, Mel Kiper Jr. After his exemplary play in his career, Kiper decided to release his report in 2020. The report showcased how Brady was perceived as a league freshman. Furthermore, it also proved the immense amount of growth Brady has had as a quarterback.

Coming into the league, Kiper believed that Brady doesn’t have a total package of skills. Furthermore, the analyst also believed that Brady wasn’t one of the quarterbacks who tried to perform beyond his capability. He also mentioned that Brady had had 17 interceptions over 25 starts. All in all, Kiper had predicted Brady to be a fifth-round pick. However, given the kind of success Brady has had, he has clearly proven this report wrong.

While the report might have been accurate to Tom Brady of the 2000 NFL Draft, none of the standings on the original draft report hold true today. The quarterback has certainly gone on to prove everyone, including the analyst who wrote the draft report, wrong about his achievements.
