How did Jarvis Landry spend his first Million?
Jarvis Landry grew up in a middle-class family with a single parent. His childhood was rough. The family was based in a small town in Louisiana. When the GQ journalist asked if Landry always wanted to go to LSU, or was it his mom? He replied, “My mom made that decision for me.” He adds, “Leaving Louisiana was the thing to do, so she convinced me to go to LSU, and honestly, it was one of the best times of my life, and obviously being close to home, being close to family was definitely something that was important to me.”
The Dolphins signed the receiver on a four-year rookie contract for $3.47 million. Being so close to his mom and family, when the receiver got his rookie contract, the first thing he did was pay off his mother’s depth. That was around $30,000. He said, “The first chunk went to my mom. Paying off her bills.”
