The Baker Mayfield-Cleveland Browns drama became a must-see scenario during the offseason. Cleveland Browns were in quarterback oblivion after they brought Deshaun Watson in a fully guaranteed deal. But that was not it for Baker. His move to the Carolina Panthers still bugs some analysts, and Skip Bayless is one of them.

After some high-end drama, the Browns could finally trade Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers. An unhappy quarterback wanted out of the franchise, but his remaining reimbursement wages became bulky for the Browns to afford. Baker may finally have his moment after joining the Panthers, as they open against the Browns in Week 1.
During the Skip and Shannon: Undisputed Show, Skip Bayless became critical of the Browns-Panthers trade. He cites the Browns made the trade in a discerning manner.
Bayless lays out his thoughts, saying, “I hate this for Baker Mayfield. This is the absolute worst place that he could get sent to.” He adds, “I believe Cleveland did make a very shrewd operational choice here to send him to the place that he could least come back to haunt them… I think they were actually working Carolina hard trying to say, “Please take him off our hands. What can we do for you?” The irony of this equation was, in the bitter end, it was actually Baker Mayfield who said, “I will put this deal over the top because I do want to go.” He actually wanted to go because there was 3.5 million that he forfeited into incentives.”
Given Mayfield’s turbulent times with the Browns, the QB could attempt to thrive in Carolina. He brought out the Browns from playoff purgatory. It might be his best chance, and he better not miss.

Shannon Sharpe chooses Sam Darnold over Baker Mayfield.
Further, in the show, Bayless lays the question to Sharpe to choose the better quarterback between Darnold and Mayfield. Without hesitation, the HOF TE chose Darnold. In a retrospective, Sam Darnold had a turbulent beginning with the Panthers. In 12 games, the No. 3 overall draft pick from 2018 threw for 2,527 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. He also suffered a shoulder injury and was on the injured reserve.

After that, Skip compares a spam and bologna sandwich, saying he preferred bologna with cheese and some mayonnaise. It may correlate between Darnold and Mayfield. Sharpe, who chose Sam, stuck with the spam sandwich. It might be an uncanny resemblance, but the hosts made their choices. Will they give out their best? It is subject to witness.
