The Raiders lost against the Colts 25-20. The running back, Josh Jacobs, who made the statement, had one touchdown and 78 yards.

The state of the Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have been having problems this season. They are currently sitting at the bottom of the AFC West table with a record of 2 wins and 7 losses. This is especially shocking with the number of highly touted players that are there in the locker room. With Davante Adams at wide receiver, Josh Jacobs at running back and Derek Carr at quarterback, the team should arguably be at the top end of the table. However, maybe the amount of talent on the team is the problem.

More accurately, the problem might be the right kind of management for the team. With such star power in the locker room and on the field, there needs to be proper utilization of skills. With the coaching and management staff a relatively new one, there needs to be a proper combination decided by the staff to ensure that there are results visible on the field.

There is almost no translation of proper management for the players by the front office. In addition to this, with a new head coach in Josh McDaniels, there is also a lack of experience that seems to be visible on the field. Several players from the team have made comments about the team’s current performance level and how it can be improved.

Raiders speak about the team’s situation

Several players from the team have spoken about the way in which they can contribute as well as how the team is doing right now and Josh Jacobs is one such player. In a locker room interview, he spoke about how he would be able to contribute to the team’s efforts towards possible success. He said, “I just try to come in here you know and um bringing a positive energy and bringing  the energy to the team you know to lead by example about about the way I work.”

Even with respect to the coaching staff, Davante Adams and Derek Carr made supporting statements. They both made statements in favor of the coaching staff that interestingly reflected the statements made by the owner, Mark Davis. The stars mentioned that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Subsequently, they also said neither can a team that will play in the playoffs. The question now remains is how long will it take to build the Raiders’ Rome? Furthermore, how is the management going about managing the talent in the right way?
