As the trade deadline comes closer (it is November 1), the owner and president of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, expressed his thoughts over it. And of course, everything he says gets NFL Twitter riled up. And yes, that is exactly what happened this time, as well. The commentators expressed their displeasure freely under Jones’ not-so-surprising admission.

On 105.3 The Fan, the Hall of Famer said he had no plans to trade any of the new players on the Cowboys roster.
“Absolutely nothing that involves a name of a player or a position that I’m seriously looking at, at this moment. Not one move. But could that change in 30 minutes? Of course it could,” said Jones when asked about what his plans were regarding trading new players before the deadline.
Even if good players are available, according to Jones, it doesn’t always mean they’ll fit well on the Cowboys squad or under the salary cap restrictions of the Cowboys. And his admission got some fans pretty mad.

Many fans urged the owner of the Dallas Cowboys to bring in new wide receivers. This season, the Cowboys offense has had trouble moving the ball, placing 27th in total offense. They have the seventh-fewest receiving yards in the NFL (1,154) and average 300.8 yards per game. Fans think Jones, who serves as the team’s general manager, should look at certain wide receivers.
Therefore, this fan suggested a few wide-outs that can catch the attention of the 80-year-old.
Our WR are fine and we are getting Washington soon and brown has proven to be a fine WR 3 💀

This fan commented and explained that the billionaire owner of the franchise is not keen on improving the roster.
That’s a GM that’s not constantly looking to improve his team. All others are constantly tweaking and looking to improve. Not us, we’re more interested in growing our brand. If something falls in our lap, great.

It’s always “I, I’m” not we, us or sounding collaborative

Another fan wanted Jones to look into the availability of WRs.
This is an inexcusable response given the WRs known to be available right now

A fan commented surely that the team won’t trade for new guys.
So no trades again. Don't get hopeful people. It won't happen

Always lol

Same shit every year. Why expect him to spend any money on someone that can bolster a group on the team.

In conclusion, the president of the franchise remains somewhat of a predictable figure among Cowboys fans. However, it will be certainly interesting to witness how the cards will unfold for Dallas.
