Aaron Rodgers spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers. After being drafted by the Packers in 2005 as the 24th draft pick, A-Rod has gone on to solidify himself as a Packers legend in the years that followed. The 4X NFL MVP led the team to a Super Bowl XLV win back in the 2010 season. And now, after almost 18 seasons, Aaron Rodgers is getting ready to debut for his new team, the New York Jets

A-Rod has been enjoying his time at the Big Apple currently, being a part of many events and making appearances, unlike his time in Green Bay. While the QB prepares for his debut with the Jets, his old friend, and former teammate recently played it safe during a sly question.

Former NFL safety and return specialist Will Blackmon was drafted by the Packers a year after Aaron Rodgers. He has a history of playing beside the 4X MVP QB from 2006 to 2009. And during this time, the two have developed a friendship with each other that is still going on. Blackmon recently made his way to the Colin Cowherd show to talk about Rodgers’ debut season expectations in New York and the ongoing DeAndre Hopkins saga.

Cowherd started the show by introducing Will Blackmon, stating that he is also a friend of the 4X MVP QB. He then went on to question the retired NFL player if he was “in a text relationship with Aaron this offseason.” Blackmon chuckled, and replied by stating, “That’s classified.”  The duo then went on to talk about how Rodgers looks happy and excited in New York and to play for the Jets in the upcoming season of the league.

Blackmon predicted Rodgers’ trade to this team

Back in 2021, Will Blackmon had an interview with TMZ Sports. During the interview, he was not confident about the then-New Orleans Saints QB1 Jameis Winston to carry on the starter role into his second year. He felt that Winston would have a hard time cutting down interceptions for a team that had limited players in the wide receivers position. So he felt that Aaron Rodgers could be making his way to the Saints for the 2022 season. He said, “Next year, Aaron Rodgers will be a New Orleans Saint.” But Rodgers went on to play for the Packers last season, before deciding to follow the footsteps of Brett Favre to the Jets for the upcoming 2023 season.
