And above all, he is 45. Even though his energy level is of a rookie, his body has started showing age. In the recent episode of UNDISPUTED, Shannon Sharpe explained the reason behind declaring Wednesday as a rest day for the entire season.
“You get older, you need a little bit more time to recover,” Sharpe said. Meanwhile, his personal life drama with Gisele Bündchen is also impacting the quarterback in several ways.
“He is dealing with some things that he probably never had to deal with. He has emotions, he has feelings, and he’s dealing with something that a lot of people are dealing with,” Sharpe added to his explanation.
After the Week 2 game, while speaking to the reporters, Brady acknowledged that he wasn’t able to control his emotions despite playing for 23 seasons in the league.

Brady mentions that playing at 45 is much different than the 30s because health is an essential factor and pro football, being a violent sport demands extreme amounts of fitness.
“There’s no margin for error when you’re 45,” Brady said Sunday on his ‘Let’s Go!’ podcast. “You take hits, and you feel every hit. When you’re younger, your body’s a lot different. And when you’re 45, your body changes a lot.” The Bucs QB added to his explanation.
