According to Lewis, all that the 2018 first-round pick needs is help. And that help will come in the form of a skillful and talented wide receiver. Jackson needs a fiery receiver who will help him perform better. As per the linebacker, the team did not provide him with a powerful receiver who will enable him to throw explosively down the field.

“Lamar Jackson is a rock star but the offense that he’s been playing in the past three or four years, with Greg Roman as offensive coordinator, that doesn’t fit him,” Lewis said. “It fits him because he has to be Superman. He has to make five people miss,” he added.
Because Rashad Bateman got injured, he played with guys like Sammy Watkins, Demarcus Robinson, Devin Duvernay, and James Porche. And was only left with one 1,000-yard WR, Marquise Brown. Even though his trustworthy target, Mark Andrews, plays with him, Lewis felt like the team does not offer him the opportunity to be multi-dimensional. He said, “We need pieces around Lamar Jackson.”
