Pat McAfee is one of the best-known names in the NFL. The former player-turned-analyst has been a mainstay since ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ began on YouTube. His strong opinions and a light-hearted way of hosting the show make him a fan favorite. This quality has led him on to sports entertainment as well. McAfee recently took to Instagram to share some incredible moments with someone important.

Pat McAfee shares a photo never seen before
On Father’s Day, McAfee took to Instagram to share photos with his father. The former Colts placekicker put up a heartwarming caption to go with it.

In the photo, a young Pat, possibly a teenager, is seen along with his father, Tim. The young McAfee is wearing spectacles, sitting down, and wearing a white jacket alongside his father.
In the caption, he wished his father a Happy Father’s Day: “I was lucky enough to have Ol’ Tim McAfee as a father.. an incredibly hard-working man who tried to learn as much as possible about everything we were interested in..”
He continued, “Thanks for the selfless sacrifices, thanks for the love, and most importantly thanks for teaching me that anything is possible if you’re willing to work harder than everybody..”
He also wrote that he would like to be an excellent dad for his future child, but it would be a big job trying to fill his dad’s shoes.
What did McAfee do after retiring from the NFL?
McAfee retired from football in 2017. After eight years with the Indianapolis Colts as a placekicker and punt returner, he has been intensely active in the media as a sports analyst and commentator. He has his own show on YouTube, which is extremely popular. McAfee has also been a part of other daily shows as well.

But one of his most radical career moves of late has been his transition to the WWE. McAfee is currently a commentator on WWE’s SmackDown brand. He also took part as a player in WWE’s annual WrestleMania.

McAfee’s career over the years shows a man not afraid to take risks. A person who likes to wade into uncharted territory. And given his Father’s Day caption, his father has probably played a significant role in shaping him into the individual he has become today.
