Cincinnati Bengals fans are distraught. They have the right reasons to feel so. Despite an inspiring show in 2021, none of their players is a part of the NFL’s list of best players in 2022. Many experts and fans think that this is a disappointing move. This is considering the fact that the Bengals’ side played brilliantly with limited resources in the 2021 season. 

NFL released its list of top 20 players of 2022 on August 25. In that list, most of the stars from the other teams found a place. However, the Bengal side was unrepresented. Soon, many people tweeted their views on the omission.

Joe Burrow deserved more from NFL, believe fans

A lot of fans expressed surprise when they found the Bengals’ names missing from the list. What surprised them is simple logic – If no players performed brilliantly, how did the Bengal side reach the playoffs?

Young and promising QB, Joe Burrow, who completed 4611 yards for the Bengal in 2021 is one of the major names missing from the list.

The 25-year-old Burrow is a promising talent who completed an impressive 34 TB in 2021. Bengals can nurture him well as a vital cog in the side, in the future. 

Which players found themselves on the list?

The NFL list comprises all the present stars from various teams. The organizers did not rank the players in the order of ranking but choose to reveal their names in alphabetical order.

Most of the stars like Tom Brady, Aaron Donald, Aaron Rodgers, Jonathan Taylor, Trent Williams, Davante Adams, Josh Allen, and Tyreek Hill feature in the elite list and it would light up their confidence ahead of the fresh NFL season.

The Cincinnati Bengals will have a point or two to prove in the new NFL season to its fans and critics. They have to show that they are no one season-wonder. They have to establish that last year’s dominant show is just a trailer of their real revival. As a result, the Zac Taylor-coached team will look to continue from where they left in the last season and prove their critics wrong once again. The confident coach believes that his team can do well despite limited resources. The fans would echo the same as an exciting season awaits them with hope.
