Last season when the Arizona Cardinals went 11-6 with a chance to appear in the offs, they extended their contract with Kliff Kingsbury. This meant that the former NFL player was to coach the team until 2027. One would not have considered this an overreaction, however, after ten months, that maybe wasn’t their best decision. The Red Birds lost their seventh straight game. This resulted in the team firing their head coach and GM Steve Keim resigning.

But to take his mind off of the embarrassing season, Kingsbury brought a one-way ticket to Thailand. When fans came to know about his sudden getaway, they could not contain themselves and made some hilarious memes.

Although the former Patriot went to relax at the clear beaches of Thailand, it looks like many teams miss him. As per ‘NYPost’, Peter Schrager, an NFL host on Fox Sports, reported about the coach’s whereabouts.

Schrager also revealed that the 43-year-old is not interested in coaching any teams in 2023. Several teams contacted him and asked him if he would be interested in giving an interview. Despite not wanting to work for any other teams at the moment, Kingsbury will get paychecks for five years from the Arizona Cardinals.

“He said, ‘No, I’m good.’ He’s being paid five years guaranteed by the Arizona Cardinals. That check hits every two weeks. He’s going to take his time before he figures out if he wants to come back to football. For now, he has told all teams that he is not interested in returning at the moment.”

It is not known how much money Arizona owes to Kingsbury, but if he takes up another coaching position, he would probably labor for free. That is because it can be possible his contract contains offset language. However, it’s also conceivable that he may act in this way given that in the past, coaches like Matt Patricia effectively worked for no pay while the Lions owed him money.

All in all, it was a sad end for the Cardinals this year as it brought no wins and only distance between the former head coach and QB Kyler Murray.
