Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes has an unsettling squabble with Quandre Diggs, which goes back to their days in Texas. Both still have a rattling opinion on situations, and modern internet users have witnessed a chunk.

Texas Tech and the Texas Longhorns’ bitter rivalry is unforgettable. If history is any proof, both universities gave out various NFL-caliber athletes. Most notably, Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes is establishing a legacy among the top QBs in the NFL. But his history with Longhorns standout Quandre Diggs on the field is highly notable.

 

Quandre Diggs is no stranger to taking shots over his collegiate rival, Texas Tech University. But Patrick Mahomes always stands up for his university when the Seahawks’ CB triggers a dig on the college and the Alma Mater.

Sports Business Journal on Twitter reports the news of Texas Tech. According to the story, the university would construct the largest contiguous football facility in the nation. But Quandre did not hold back on his thoughts. He Tweets, “And still have to live in Lubbock? No thanks.”

Texas Tech Alum Patrick Mahomes did not hold back. Even though he did not directly respond to Diggs’ tweet, he sent an iconic Nick Young Reaction GIF to the cornerback. The Grim Reaper is a die-hard supporter of his university, and it is no surprise for the Chiefs QB to respond to a bitter collegiate rival.

Texas Tech University intends to invest $200 million in the development of Womble Football Center and a four-level facility in Jones AT&T Stadium’s south end zone.

Quandre Diggs once destroyed Patrick Mahomes in a collegiate game

The last time Patrick Mahomes faced Quandre Diggs was in November 2014. The two-time Pro Bowler certainly doesn’t hold a lot of happy memories for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. Patrick Mahomes was quarterbacking for Red Raiders versus the Longhorns. The opposing team had Quandre Diggs.

When Davis Webb, the regular starter, had an injury the previous week, they compelled the Grim Reaper to play as the backup. Mahomes struggled to complete the match in his debut start for the Red Raiders. Diggs delivered a “big league hit” to Patrick in that game, knocking Mahomes out of the play.
