Bradshaw said, “Arizona’s mentality is throw, throw, throw, throw, throw. I think if this kid ran five or six times in a row, I think he’d commit suicide or something.” The experienced campaigner was referring to RB James Conner. This was after Saints HC, Sean Payton commented he would love to see Conner run the ball more. However, Bradshaw’s statement drew a sharp reaction from fans on Twitter.
A user said the legend should be fired right away.

This user asked to leave the legend alone.
Man leave #TerryBradshaw alone. Beat cancer, won 4 SB’s, has CTE, and still has worked as an analyst for like 35 years.
I said what I said.#Steelers #HereWeGo

The word ‘suicide’ sparked protests. Only a minority number felt the word usage is not an issue.
Fans demand an apology from the legend
Bradshaw’s co-panelist, Howie Long, told the icon his words are a little dark for the audience. Reacting to it, Bradshaw elaborated on his point. He said the Saints did not care about the ground game at all. However, the damage was already done. His suicide joke did not sit well with the fans. Many of them demanded an apology on Twitter.
This user presented his thoughts.
“Suicide is serious”
Yes, everyone knows this. He’s just trying to think up a quick reference in the moment and made a bad take. It’s not that serious. All of you wouldn’t be able to speak in front of a camera for 3 hours without messing up a few times.

Another fan was sure he will apologize soon.
Im sure hes going to have to apoligize, he was just talking, he wasnt being serious, leave him alone

But a user thought differently.
It’s a figure of speech. People need to be able to hear something and understand when someone is making an analogy vs advocacy.

A user had a humorous take.
Strahan looking at the camera like "ohhh boy…I'm about to get a promotion"
