14-year-old Xavier Jones’ story has even made huge headlines in the past week. Although it is a sad story, it comes with a happy ending. Jones lives with his grandfather, who also takes care of his six other siblings. Sadly, his mother passed away a few years ago. Jones’ grandpa suffers from sickle cell disease and struggles to make ends meet.
On his 8th-grade graduation day, Jones had to walk 6.5 miles from his house to reach the university where the graduation ceremony was being held. But the teenager overcame the struggles and reached his destination with ease. Dolphins defense tackle Terron Armstead came with a heartwarming surprise and awarded Jones a $5000 electric bike for his unbeatable spirit and determination.
But Armstead didn’t just stop there. He also joined hands with a car company, Bommarito Automotive, and gifted Jones’ grandfather a $40000 minivan. The grandfather was head over heels for Armstead’s generous gift and stood in shock. This wholesome gesture has brought a smile to the faces of a struggling family.
