The relationship between NFL legend Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen continues to deteriorate. And as reports suggest that the pair have hired divorce lawyers, speculations are afloat as to how they’ll split their multi-million dollar empire. But as talks revolve around their separation, it is undeniable that the couple were a force to reckon with when together. And probably one of the best testaments to this statement is their real estate success. And in particular, their $40 million dollar Brentwood Mansion, which they sold in 2014, to award-winning artist and producer, Dr. Dre.

Brady and Bündchen bought the plot of land in Brentwood in 2008, when the QB played for the New England Patriots. They spent $11 million, and in 4 years built a massive mansion sprawling 22,000 square feet. The mansion has 8 bedrooms, a 6-car garage, a swimming pool shaped like a lake, a fully stacked gym, and a wine cellar. The property even boasts a moat and a bridge at the entrance. Not to forget their star-studded neighbors, including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Heidi Klum.

The couple reportedly wanted to build their mansion in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner, and the finished property sported two massive solar panels that powered the entire compound, along with a gray water irrigation system. Richard Landry is the brains behind this masterpiece, with Joan Behnke finishing off the interior design. The couple sold the mansion to rap legend, Dr. Dre, for a whopping $40 million in 2014 when Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Before the turmoil, Brady and Bündchen had started construction on another mansion. With the same architect (Richard Landry), and with the same theme in mind. The new mansion is on Indian Creek Island in Florida, a place well known as the ‘Billionaires Bunker’. Their new neighbors include billionaires such as Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump and even the Emir of Qatar!

With talks of separation looming, expectations on the completion of this project are not very high. Given that their previous project had both their inputs, this project may just reflect the absence of one partner.
