While walking the ramp for The Alexander McQueen show in 1998, she said she remembers how she had to walk the ramp without wearing a top. The then 18-year-old Bündchen talks about how she wished her family would not see the photos, as she might embarrass them.
She said, “That was probably the night I started to dissociate, to begin thinking of my public self as her and she. Because the girl who appeared on the runway wasn’t anyone familiar to me. A few minutes earlier I’d been crying so hard my tears were washing off my makeup.” Bündchen further recollects how she thought her family would never talk to her again after that show.

Hope became Bündchen’s strongest weapon
There is always hope, even when your brain tells you there is none. Gisele Bündchen did not lose hope during her initial days of struggle. It is because of this reason that she has flourished into the successful person that she is now.
