Tom Brady has redefined the limits for an NFL athlete as he goes on breaking and creating new records at 44. His week 7 game against Chicago Bears was no different. He passed his career milestone of 600 TD passes, which has been making him the first player in NFL history to reach the mark.

However, Brady later on in the game jogged to a young boy holding a sign that read, “Tom Brady helped me beat Brain Cancer.” The young Buccaneers fan, but most importantly, a brain cancer survivor, made Brady realize that what the athletes are doing isn’t just for entertainment, the sport values much more.

Tom Brady helps a 9-year-old beat Brain Cancer

The seven-time Super Bowl winner shook the boy’s hand and gave him his game hat, making his moment of a lifetime. That young fan was 9-year-old Noah Reeb, who couldn’t hold his tears running down his cheeks.

Brady, in his post-game press conference, spoke of his interaction with the young boy. “It was really sweet. Obviously, a tough kid,” Brady said. “It puts a lot in perspective of what we’re doing on the field. In the end, it doesn’t mean much compared to what so many people go through, so we all try to make a difference in different ways.”

Brady is a certified GOAT

The young cancer survivor just proves that football is not just a sport, it gives people hope to live; it gives people a purpose in life. Surely Brady’s record-breaking feat was special, but saving a life is more than just a milestone to be reached.
