NFL fans will remember the week 10 clash between Washington Football Team and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a long time. WFT finally ended their four-game losing streak in spectacular fashion. The defending Super Bowl champions, Tampa Bay, crumbled by the hard-hitting will of the underdogs.
Washington Football Team shuts down Tom Brady
Washington dominated the first quarter. They registered two field goals, making it 0-6. The offense played an amazing quarter, but it was the defense who stole the show. Washington completely shut down Tom Brady. They intercepted the Bucs quarterback twice in his first 6 passes of the game.

Brady threw a pass towards Jaelon Darden, but Darden was tackled, and William Jackson recovered the ball. It forced a turnover, putting Washington on offense, which eventually led to the second field goal of the game. The second interception came around the 3-minute mark. Tom threw a pass, hoping to find his teammates, but Bobby McCain intercepted it.
An extremely dominant performance
Washington football team continued to dictate the game in the second half as they scored their largest lead of the season. Washington’s star quarterback Taylor Heinicke threw a phenomenal pass towards DeAndre Carter, which resulted in a touchdown. The score was 0-13 till the Buccaneers scored a field goal to put themselves on the board. But another field goal in the second quarter maintained a comfortable lead for Washington. A penalty against WFT made things rough around the end of the first half. The score was 6-16.

Cameron Brate’s first touchdown of the season in the third quarter gave a little to the Buccaneers for a comeback, but a rough Antonio Gibson touchdown put Washington back on their ten-point lead, which they maintained for most of the game. The fourth quarter brought a touchdown for both sides and an end to one of the most exciting games of the season.

Super Bowl LV champions did not have a good day; however, their wide receiver Mike Evans says, “I tell the guys it’s just one game; it doesn’t define our season. We’ve got to come with it if we want to get where we want to go.” The underdogs enjoy their victory over the defending champions, but the Buccaneers are focused on how to bounce back.
