Gronk retires as a 4x Super Bowl Champion, a 5x Pro Bowl TE and multiple records to his name, making him one of the greatest tight ends to play the sport. In his two seasons with the Bucs, he spiked footballs all the way to the Super Bowl in 2021, although the following season saw him miss close to a dozen games due to injury.
While injuries did play a part, Gronk chose retirement because he wanted to expand his business portfolio as well. That may be admirable, but his supermodel girlfriend has her doubts. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the model who has featured on their cover multiple times, gave her two cents on her boyfriend’s retirement, and whether he’ll return to the gridiron.
“I am an honest lady, and honestly, in my heart, I didn’t feel like this one is a forever one. So, I think maybe he’ll come back again. “I feel like him and Tom [Brady] are just having fun like, ‘Retired, not retired, retired, not retired.” We surely want to see a beloved name like Gronk succeed and live a healthy life, but the football fans within us would love to see him team up with Tom Brady for another season.

Tom Brady shocked the world by announcing his retirement, but his return surprised very few people. The GOAT could not stay away from the game, and his fans could feel it coming from a mile away. The hunger to compete and win remains alive and burning within the 7x Super Bowl Champion. However, he might have to go for an 8th win without his favorite target.
After talking to reporters in Boston, Rob Gronkowski’s plans to not return to football flooded Twitter timelines. “I’m done with football. Love the game. Love the game. And definitely blessed with all the opportunities the game of football has given me. But done with football and stepping my feet into the business world and the business ventures. Just seeing what’s out there and where I can, you know, find my place.”
