Tom Brady painted a frustrated figure as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a 34-23 loss to their NFC South opponents, New Orleans Saints, on Sunday. This was Brady’s first game for the Bucs, and he would have surely wished for a better outcome. The six-time Super Bowl winner had a tough game against a strong Saints defense.
Brady threw for 239 yards and completed two passing TDs. But he also threw two interceptions and one pick-six as Drew Brees led his team to a comfortable victory in this Week One clash.
Here’s what the 43-year-old veteran said in the post-match press conference with media personnel.

Tom Brady admits the Bucs ‘need to do better’ in the coming weeks
A dejected Tom Brady appeared in the post-match Zoom call to answer some questions about last night’s loss to the Saints. The three-time NFL MVP admitted that his team needed to improve, especially as far as turnovers were concerned.
He said, “I mean, I think that anytime you turn the ball over like we did, um, you know we had opportunities out there to make plays and we just came up short so there’s no excuse for this. We’re the only ones that can do something about it.
“The Saints kinda played how they always played. They did a good job on offense…we hung our defense out to dry… the turnovers really hurt us, gotta clean that up for next week.

“I’ve lost plenty of games in my career. I know I don’t like it but it happens. So we gotta just do a better job,” Brady asserted in the post-game presser.
The Bucs are slated to go up against the Bridgewater-led Carolina Panthers on home turf in Week Two. The Panthers suffered a narrow 34-30 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend. Both teams will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they meet each other on Sunday at the Raymond James Stadium in Florida.
