New England Patriots fans were visibly disheartened to see their long-time idol and hero, Tom Brady, depart Boston in January 2020. The 44-year old veteran quarterback opted to end his two-decade-long association with coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots in search for a new challenge elsewhere.

Brady was determined to prove his naysayers wrong after a couple of average seasons towards the end of the last decade. He penned a two-year deal with NFC South franchise, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to play under coach Bruce Arians.

Tom Brady is hellbent on repeating heroics from previous season in 2021

Tom Brady is not one to sit and gloat about his records and titles. Speaking to Peter King of the Football Morning in America column, the reigning Super Bowl MVP revealed that he is looking forward to the upcoming season with a renewed sense of optimism and passion.

“Life is about always changing and adapting to different things. Today, the world wants to blame, and shame, and guilt, and fear everything all the time. We would never teach our kids that, you know? “For me … I love playing football. [Bucs offensive coordinator] Byron Leftwich said something really good the other day: It’s a very simple game that’s so hard to execute. It’s a totally imperfect game that you’re trying to do as perfectly as possible. Every day I come out trying to do it. I’m hoping this is my best year,” the 44-year old veteran told King.

Brady concluded his debut campaign with the Bucs, throwing for 4,600+ yards with 40+ passing touchdowns to his name against just 12 interceptions. He will look to build on that display as the Bucs gear up for a tough title defence.
