Tampa Bay Buccaneers sealed their second Super Bowl title as they beat Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV last weekend. 43-year-old Tom Brady won his seventh Championship ring, throwing for 201 yards including 3 passing touchdowns.
The former New England Patriots man along with veteran teammates Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown turned back the clock with some eye-catching displays last Sunday. But Buccaneers GM Jason Licht insists that there’s another quarterback in Tampa Bay waiting for his shot at greatness.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers GM Jason Licht had some words of praise reserved for backup QB Blaine Gabbert. The former suggests Gabbert has more than enough to step up and take charge in case something happens to Tom Brady in the coming months.
He said, “First of all, I love his energy. I’ve really gotten close to Blaine this year just being on the sidelines. He’s a really smart guy but he is one guy, my scouts and I talk about this a lot, he’s just one guy that I love to watch throw every day in practice because he has got a cannon.”

“He’s very accurate with his throws as well and he can just really whistle them in in tight windows. If he had been forced to play, he played in the Detroit game, but if he had been forced to play more I think that he would have really opened a lot of people’s eyes about how talented he is, especially being in the same system for a couple of years,” Licht said earlier this week.
Blaine Gabbert was drafted by Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft (10th overall). Since then, he has been on the roster for the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans.

He joined the Buccaneers in 2019 and was part of the squad that won Super Bowl LV last week. In 48 NFL starts, Gabbert has 9,206 passing yards and 50 passing TDs to his name.
