Kevin Stefanski arrived in Ohio with a major task on his hands. After parting ways with Freddie Kitchens, AFC North big boys Cleveland Browns brought in Stefanski to turn things around. Looking at how the season panned out for Baker Mayfield and his teammates, we’d say that he’s done the job, at least for now.
The Browns concluded their 2020 NFL regular season campaign with a 22-24 win over rivals, Pittsburgh Steelers. They beat them again in the Wild Card Round to qualify for the NFL Divisional Round. However, Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs did enough to secure a 22-17 win at the Arrowhead.

Popular Good Morning Football analyst Kyle Brandt made some interesting claims with respect to Baker Mayfield and Cleveland earlier today. He said, “We’re talking a lot about Cleveland because of the draft and it feels great to say we have to take the Browns seriously. I don’t know when the last time that was said, but I really liked the Browns this year.”
“And look, they were in the ring with The Undertaker or Ric Flair, whoever you want to call the Chiefs. And they’re trading suplexes and they showed up to that game…This is the Cleveland Browns’ season maybe.”
“I know it’s a punch line and it doesn’t play well on social media because the Browns have a reputation. I don’t really care. The future is now. I think the Cleveland Browns are gonna be really good….I don’t know what they’re gonna do on the draft, but I like them next year,” Brandt said on the show.

The Browns definitely did show signs of improvement in Stefanski’s first year as head coach. Despite missing experienced WR Odell Beckham Jr. for the latter half the season, Cleveland did good.
In fact, one could argue thaey did more than good. The likes of Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, Myles Garrett and of course, Baker Mayfield, proved that they have it in them to put together a Super Bowl run.
