Suspended for 11 Games, Deshaun Watson Gifts Fan’s Mother 4 Tickets to Sit In His Suite for TNF’s Browns-Steelers Game

Social media entered a frenzy as Deshaun Watson gifted 4 tickets to a fan’s mother to watch NFL games. The Ex-Texan quarterback remains suspended for 11 games in the 2022-23 NFL season. The suspension came as the result of many misconduct lawsuits against the star Cleveland Browns quarterback.

Watson missed almost the whole 2021-22 season because of controversies. He is going to miss the first 11 games of this season too due to the suspension placed upon him by the NFL authority.

Divisive Reaction to the original post by the NFL community

A Browns fan named Zay tweeted on Wednesday about the gesture Jackson showed to his mom by offering tickets for the derby.

He tweeted, “@deshaunwatson sent my mom 4 tickets to sit in his suite for the game tomorrow! What a gift! Thank you for making my moms whole month man!” 

Interestingly, the Thursday Night Football match between divisional rivals Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. The comment section of the tweet got filled with sarcastically concerned replies from NFL fans soon after Watson retweeted it. One fan asked to pray for his mom’s safety.

While some other Twitterati reiterated the same concern for the mother of the fan through various messages.

However, a few of the Twitterati held positive views on this matter and send congratulatory texts in the comment section telling the fan to ignore rude behavior by others.

Deshaun Watson remains a paradox

Meanwhile, among all the controversies, Watson remains focused on the training. He shared a quick clip of him on Instagram, practicing in full force for the eventual return to the game, saying, ‘Work comes first.’

Deshaun Watson hopes to turn around his current bad patch with positive outputs in the near future. Watson has settled 21 out of the 22 lawsuits till now. Only the time knows what is in store for the highest-earning NFL player of all time.
