Ever since the Texas Tech product stepped foot into the NFL, his teammates were soon to catch his voice and find similarity with the famous comic character Kermit the frog.

Back in 2018, while speaking in an interview, Patrick Mahomes revealed that everyone in his team mimics him, especially with that voice, and the most appropriate one comes from his head coach Reid. “If I’m ever getting too big of a head, they just kind of bring out the voice. You know—they try to mimic my voice,” Mahomes said.

He also mentioned that even if the HC makes the best impression, the coach would never showcase in the public. Resonating the same words to Reid in one of the later interviews and asking if it were true, the coach nodded to all those statements and said that his quarterback sounds like “frogfish”.

Similarly, Mahomes’ teammates like Travis Kelce and former backup Chad Henne explained that it was fun trading the passer. Their banter goes on inside the locker room. “It’s like he’s off ‘The Muppets,’ man, stuck between like, the Cookie Monster and Kermit the Frog, man.” Tight end Travis Kelce said to a media outlet.

The gunslinger had a splendid 4-0 start as the second-year quarterback and threw for 1,200 yards, 14 touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

“I’ve heard it since I was in like seventh grade. But it’s something that I’ve kind of embraced,” Mahomes said back in those days. “Just being comfortable with yourself. I mean, it’s me, it’s who I am. So I’m never going to be insecure about it; I just kind of embrace it and keep going.” He added. Well, the QB did a good job dealing with this issue. He encouraged the fans to look at his stunning gameplay rather than mocking him for petty reasons.
