NFL players have gone on to do very interesting things after they’ve retired from the league. Terry Crews went on to become a very popular actor and TV star. Peyton Manning would make some odd cameos in shows here and there. After conquering the world of one of the toughest sports on the planet, NFL players go on to showcase their unique talents. Interestingly, one Super Bowl-winning running back decided to venture onto another planet.

Yes, Marshawn Lynch, one of the most decorated running backs to play in the NFL, is part of a bizarre reality TV show that simulates the conditions of what it would be like to live on Mars. Lynch is part of a star-studded cast on the show, ‘Stars on Mars’ that take part in living together in this simulation. Interestingly, he went on to channel his inner Scarface and Al Pacino.

While the prospect of living in such a simulation might seem trivial, the members of the cast have reportedly begun missing their families and feeling low. Interestingly enough, Lynch and a few others got a mild respite from that as they were quite literally handling literal flames. Lynch, along with ex-cyclist Lance Armstrong was given the opportunity to take up a fungus-killing flamethrower and go all out. Which they apparently did. Per TMZ, Lynch took to the flamethrower like it was second nature and even yelled out Al Pacino’s iconic Scarface dialogue, “Say hello to my little friend!” while operating the machine.

Lynch was reportedly enjoying himself as he used the flamethrower during the fire challenge. Admittedly, Lynch has earned his amount of bizarre pleasures after running the ball throughout his career with some brilliant efficiency.

Lynch’s fiery career

Lynch has been one of the more formidable running backs to play during the game. While his career is filled with some brilliant numbers, the biggest highlight would have to be his Super Bowl win with the Seattle Seahawks against the Denver Broncos in 2014. Apart from his Super Bowl win, Lynch has a total of 10,413 rushing yards in his career. He also has 2,214 receiving yards, putting his total to a whopping 12,626 yards. He also has a record of 85 rushing touchdowns, along with 9 receiving ones, putting his total to 94. All in all, the running back has had a very impressive and prolific career.

With such a brilliant career, it only makes sense for Lynch to enjoy his retirement in any way he likes, no matter how different. It only remains to be seen what other interesting updates we’ll get from Lynch on ‘Mars’.
