Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald seems to have made an important switch from his NFL career. The reigning Super Bowl champion became the newest member of rapper Kanye West’s Donda Sports and followed former NFL wideout, Antonio Brown. The exciting acquisition for Donda Sports will see Donald collaborating with West in creating football cleats together.

During a recent episode of the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast interview with Brandon Marshall, Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones, and LeSean McCoy, Donald reveals how the deal happened. The 8-time Pro Bowler considers his deal with Donda Sports as a no-brainer. He states that he and his wife believe in the wholesome warmth exuding from the deal, which appeared natural to them.
Donda reveals that it also opens many possibilities for him and his wife off the field. He considers being among the first athletes with Brown to have received this honor and shares his excitement about their plans.
While talking with Marshall about collaborations, he reveals conversations about a cleats project, stating, “Ain’t nothing in full circle, but we’ve been talking. We got a lot of different things that are planned.”

The Rams DT sees the Donda Sports as a project West has a deep connection and commitment to making it a success. He shares how West’s mother, Donda, is the inspiration behind the company. The investment of time and energy from the rapper convinced him. Donald describes West to be ‘a cool’ individual. He even reveals receiving an offer for a chance to be in one of his music videos.
Donald will be working with Antonio Brown, who was named the company’s president by West. While it is a lunge into uncharted territory by Donald, it allows him to pursue a career beyond the NFL.
The Rams DT will be returning to the franchise for possibly a 9th NFL campaign. They will look to repeat as Super Bowl champions with Donald on their roster.

The Rams fan will hope that Donald will be back to his dominating self. They will be banking on him to continue delivering the goods in 2022. A lot of responsibility on the defensive side of the ball for the Rams lies on the 7-time All-Pro. The ceiling for the Rams’ success will depend on the proper functioning of both their offense and defense next season.
