The quarterback spoke about how injuries haven’t kept him from playing through his career as he currently struggles with a thumb injury he picked up in early October.
Aaron Rodgers has been here before
The Greenbay Packers’ YouTube channel released a video as the team prepared for their clash with Superbowl favorites, Philadelphia Eagles. In this video, Rodgers spoke about his struggles with his thumb of late. As his form becomes a concern, Packers’ fans will want to note that they have gone 1-6 ever since their quarterback picked up the injury.
He went down the memory lane as he alluded to an injury in college when he played through pain. “When I broke my index finger in college. That was a slightly more important finger to deal with. I remember I was at practice and coach said I don’t care what’s hurting, you get one day off and if you miss another day of practice, you’re the backup again. So there was no choice”, said Rodgers.
One would imagine the importance of an index finger to a QB. It is certainly surprising how he managed to play through that injury. Then again, it just goes on to show the greatness of Rodgers, as that mentality is what differentiates him from the rest.

Update of Rodgers’ thumb injury
Speaking about his recent injury, Rodgers gave away some information that was unknown to fans until now. He couldn’t recollect how he picked the injury, but the pain that came along with it was what made it significant to him. “I don’t know for sure. Just on the flight back home, I was in some pain,” said the quarterback. He even thought that originally it was just post-contact soreness. He said, “I actually didn’t even want to get X-rayed cause I still was going to play no matter what the X-ray showed, but they talked me into it”.
This was the first time he spoke about his thumb injury publicly. Until now, it was just rumors and theories. While all of this came as bad news for fans, Rodgers gave them something to be happy about as he also said, “I’ve had worse injuries I’ve played with. You know… definitely hurts, but the days off helped feeling better this week”.
