Bad news for Brady-fans! 7x Super Bowl champion Tom Brady pretty much made it clear that he does not plan on donning an NFL quarterback jersey ever again. This has mainly to do with the age-related wear and tear that comes with being sacked on a weekly basis for more than two decades. However, with this recent declaration, Brady has left many fans and experts confused about his role with the Las Vegas Raiders. Yes, Brady is only planning to join as a minority partner. But is that it?
After Jimmy Garoppolo failed his physical following his foot surgery in March, Raider Nation pinned their hopes on Tom Terrific to stage a return to the NFL in the famed silver and black. However, that’s not happening as Brady is only interested in the ownership part. So what is exactly Brady’s role with his new organization that is so baffling to fans?

Former NE Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Tom Brady surprised the NFL world when he announced his decision to join the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority partner this month. Brady’s recent comments on his playing future have confirmed that this ownership strategy is not a gateway to a potential comeback for the 5x Super Bowl MVP. As per PFF’s digging around, Brady’s motive behind this tiny acquisition in the $5.1 billion Mark Davis-owned franchise is not an eighth ring, but strictly financial.
According to Mike Florio, “Brady is believed to be buying something more than a ceremonial sliver of the Raiders.” The exact percentage of his ownership is still unknown before the pending league review is over. However, NFL franchises only appreciate in value, and this is certainly a better investment choice for Brady than the FTX scandal that cost him millions. Well, fans are still confused about the investment decision.

Im still baffled by this move. Does Mark Davis need him business wise? Are the raiders not doing well in LV?

Another piece of evidence pointing to this truth is Brady’s second business collaboration with Mark Davis. TB12 joined hands with Davis in entering a minority partnership with the WNBA franchise, Las Vegas Aces. It looks as though Brady only wants to increase his $300 million net worth as of now.

However, Mark Davis laid out one crucial role for Brady besides quarterbacking.
TB12 could have another major impact on the Raiders
Raiders owner Mark Davis announced that Tom Brady will be joining the franchise as a “passive” investor and will have no say in business or on-field decisions. So how is Brady going to help? Well, it’s his celebrity factor that Mark Davis wants to tap into and get the Las Vegas crowd more riled up about their NFL franchise. The Raiders moved from Oakland to Sin City three years ago. And the franchise doesn’t feel like they have fully witnessed the Las Vegas crowd’s potential at home games. Well, Brady will surely provide the necessary marketing push.
