Speculation has been rife surrounding the future of Dak Prescott ever since the quarterback was signed on a franchise tag by the Dallas Cowboys.
With a compound fracture during Game Week-5 ruling him out for the rest of the season, many felt that it was the last time that Prescott would be leading the Cowboys offense.
‘How about Chicago?’

With multiple teams being considered as possible destinations for the franchise QB, Stephen A. Smith during a segment of ESPN’s NFL Live threw a new name into the mix, the Chicago Bears.
“How about the Chicago Bears? I mean, are we really gonna sit here and ignore what that defense can do? I understand they haven’t looked lights out great this year, but when your offense is inept, and you’re demoralized because you know they’re inept, it might affect how you play defense sometimes, but they’re still very respectable,” said Smith.
Offense struggling to keep up with the stellar defense
Chicago’s defense has been a force to reckon with over the past few years. The dangerous duo of Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn has helped the team become one of the best pass-rushing defensive lines in the league.
“You look at their personnel with Quinn, Khaleel Mac, and then the rest of the crew. They got some players on the defensive side of the ball. They just need a reason to believe that they’re going to have a chance to win football games,” Smith said.
“Mitchell Trubisky (as QB) damn sure ain’t the answer. He’ll never recover from the Bears, move it up to pass on Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes,” he added.
Bring out the parade for Dak Prescott

It’s no secret that Prescott and the Cowboys management haven’t shared the best relationship over the last couple of months with owner Jerry Jones critiquing Prescott’s style of play. With the Bears, though, the scenario could be different.
Smith went on to say that Bears would be more than glad to add a QB of his caliber to their roster.
“If you talk about someplace Dak would want to go where he would be appreciated, I think that Chicago would be a very, very good place. It’s somewhere he’ll be appreciated where I mean they throw a parade for grabbing somebody like him,” Smith said.

Considering the state of Prescott’s contract and the dialogue surrounding the same in Dallas, Chicago might be a viable destination for the recovering QB.
Do you think it is time for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys to part ways since they were unable to come to an agreement about a multi-year deal early this year?
