The Buffalo Bills took a big gamble by giving up their first-round pick in 2020 to trade for Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs. The 2015 fifth-round pick made a name for himself playing for the Vikings over the last 5 years. He moved to Bills to provide young quarterback Josh Allen with some offensive firepower ahead of the 2020 NFL season.

Diggs has been impressive in his first season as a Bills player. He leads the league in receiving yards (1,535) with 8 receiving TDs to his name. But the experienced NFL wide receiver is yet to play in front of Buffalo Bills home fans. That is about to change this weekend as the Bills host the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card Playoff round.

Stefon Diggs eager to make a mark in front of Bills home fans

On the latest segment of GMFB, host Peter Schrager talked up Diggs’ upcoming debut in front on Bills fans on Sunday. The 7,000 strong attendance at the Bills Stadium in Orchard Park could be in for one hell of a game as their beloved team aims for the AFC Championship.

“This team is so dialled in, so locked in and then you add in 7000 fans…I said last week, these fans have never seen Stefon Diggs play in person ever. These home fans, and then the response is Stefon Diggs has never seen the bills but yeah, just imagine the energy from 7000 bills fans,” Schrager said on the show.

At 27, Diggs is currently at the prime of his career. His stats speak for themselves. But there are reports hinting that Stefon is playing with a niggling injury. It is thought that he suffered an unconfirmed injury in the win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.

However, the former Minnesota man has laughed off such rumours.

“I’m cool. No major issues. Don’t believe everything you read. I’m just messing, I’m all right though…It’s only been around for a little while,” Diggs told the team’s official website.
