Ever since Tom Brady said goodbye to the football field, many have suggested that he might just return again. Especially when the team he grew up supporting might need a quarterback. But many fans don’t exactly like the idea. And they made it clear while reacting to an NFL analyst’s exciting claims about the 45-year-old.
Brady retired from pro football after 23 seasons of brilliance on the field. And while the reports continue to give hope for his return again, fans believe he has nothing left to prove.

NFL analyst Colin Cowherd has claimed that the San Francisco 49ers may sign seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady for next season. And the reason? The Niners are going through somewhat of a QB crisis with Brock Purdy injured and an untested Trey Lance coming off a season-long injury.
But his take on the return of Brady to play for the franchise he supported as a kid divided the fan base on the matter. While some said it’s an ideal scenario, others weren’t as enthusiastic. Here are some fan reactions.
“Nothing else to prove. Stay retired,” a fan commented.
“Sounds like you want Tom Brady to go out on a stretcher too with that system,” another fan wrote.
“Come home Tom Brady,” a fan said in the comment section.
“With Brady in the weak NFC, they make the Superbowl,” another fan said.
“If Brady goes to the 49ers, I hope he brings Gronk too,” a fan wrote.
“Let the man be retired,” another fan wrote in the comments.
The Niners want to sign a QB this offseason as Purdy tore his UCL during the NFC championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles. And their other option is the 2021 draft pick Trey Lance, who is largely untested. With Jimmy Garoppolo leaving, the situation is dire at Levi’s Stadium. But will Brady come back again?
The second goodbye
Tom Brady announced his retirement for the second time in two years earlier in February. He said goodbye to the field in a short video message to the fans.

He had also retired after the 2021 season but came back to play in just 40 days. Will he do that again this season too?
