Deshaun Watson has been the star signing for the Cleveland Browns this offseason. Despite having lawsuits filed against him, the franchise took the bet to make him the QB1 despite having the likes of Baker Mayfield. And many hope that the youngster would fill in the QB void like a missing piece of the puzzle.

Mayfield in his four seasons with the Browns, recorded just one winning season. Hence, putting his position as a starting QB in danger. While Watson, who was on the lookout for a franchise that suited his expectations, landed a great opportunity in Cleveland.
Deshaun Watson makes a big career decision with Cleveland Browns
It was not a productive season for Watson since he was barred from playing for the Houston Texans amid controversy. Neither did the Texans avail him on the market for a trade. However, the year 2022 might just be the opportunity he is looking forward to. Brown has finally found a place that resonates with him. In a recent video released by the Browns on YouTube, the QB seems to be very committed to the team.

“Today ever since we’re really last night when I got off the plane to eat some good food downtown until waking up and spending time with the training staff and the coaching staff and meeting everyone walking through the hallways,” Watson said in the video. “It was all great energy. So I’m happy to be here. I’m excited to be here and looking forward to being here for the rest of my career.”

That was a big statement given by Watson, who joined the franchise just a few days ago. Judging by his confidence, the 26-year-old will not let the franchise down. During his three years as a starter with the Texans, the 12th overall pick has recorded two winning seasons.

Now that he has the likes of a team that is ready for a playoff season, he would certainly make the most out of this opportunity.
