The app allows fans to enjoy the sport from anywhere and anytime! Indubitably, this app will become the next best thing in the world of sports. NFL brings the highest amount of watchers. In 2021, the average number of people who watched the NFL was 17.1 million per game digitally and on television. In the same way, Super Bowl is the most watched annual sporting event in the world. Given football’s popularity, no wonder this news will have fans with their credit cards out and fingers on their phones.
Fans’ reaction to NFL Media’s announcement
Although this news was supposed to excite fans, it left them confused and questioning. The app claims to offer live out-of-market preseason games, live local and prime-time regular-season and postseason games, live local and national audio for every game, NFL Films archives, etc.
However, fans had several questions about the services the app claimed to offer.

A commenter had a positive reaction.
So it’s a paid version with essentially the same rules/regulations lol. This “you can’t watch out of market bs” needs to come to an end. Literally charge me $100 a year to watch any single team I want or $200 for the entire league. I’m not the only one who would pay that or more.

A user came up with a theory.
The NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said, “The passionate and dedicated football fans are the lifeblood of the NFL, and being able to reach and interact with them across multiple platforms is incredibly important to us. We look forward to continuing to grow NFL+ and deepening our relationship with fans…including the most valuable content in the media industry: live NFL games.”
