Through his Twitter account, the ex-49ers running back has spoken about various cases involving crimes that have had Donald Trump at the forefront. And, he has done it again. As the most recent news of Donald Trump’s lawsuit has gone viral, Simpson stated his unique take on it.

While on Twitter, he commented on what he believed was the peculiar nature of the case. He also mentioned how there might be a chance that the former POTUS might still be able to get out of the verdict that worked against him.

The words of OJ Simpson in the recent Trump developments

OJ Simpson has always had some controversial takes when it comes to issues that involve politicians and matters of justice. The ex-running back has taken a view that has been biased by his own experience. Furthermore, in the current case, Simpson took to his Twitter account to talk about the recent verdict that Trump lost. In a civil court case, Trump has been charged with battery and defamation. He is also required to pay $5 million to his accuser, E. Jean Carroll as part of the settlement. This settlement was awarded to Carroll for an incident that took place almost 30 years ago.

Simpson spoke about the kind of time it took for the case to resurface again. Furthermore, he exclaimed how long it took for the case to come to light. He also implied that Trump was mainly being accused because of his wealth. Simpson said, “Well, come on, man. How many people could come out of the woodworks 30 years later and claim some celebrity or some rich guy did something to them 30 years ago, it’d be their word against theirs, and wouldn’t go.”

Interestingly, Trump and Simpson have had a unique relationship that goes way back into the past. The two have had a tangled past that goes back to the 90s.

Simpson’s and Trump’s age-old relationship

Both Simpson and Trump have had an interesting relationship that dates back to Trump’s second wedding. Professionally, Trump had been keen to involve Simpson in his celebrity reality show, ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’. While it didn’t work out, former POTUS was very interested in the profits Simpson’s appearance would rake in. From a personal standpoint, the two seemed thick as thieves. In fact, Simpson had even been invited to Trump’s wedding to his second wife, Marla Maples.

All in all, the two have had a complicated relationship in the past. However, in spite of all that has gone down between them, Simpson seems to be showing Trump support and giving him advice via a social media platform. It only remains to be seen what more Simpson will have to say after further developments in Trump’s case.
