Hilman’s former teammates Derek Wolfe and Orlando Franklin previously updated fans on the gravity of Hillman’s situation. According to Wolfe, the former running back had liver cancer and had also contracted pneumonia. TMZ reported that Hillman suffered a rare form of cancer known as renal medullary carcinoma. Hillman’s family released a statement confirming the former RB’s passing.
