Every off-season, there are a few free agents that have the potential to be game-changers for a team. However, they remain unsigned for a while because of how they played in the previous season. One such QB with great potential is Carson Wentz. Wentz had some issues in terms of his old team last season and he now remains an unsigned free agent. However, while he might be unsigned and uncertain in terms of his future in football, he is definitely winning in life.

His recent activity on Instagram even goes on to prove how full a life he is leading despite his uncertain NFL future. The QB took to Instagram to put up an adorable post for someone very special in his life. His post had a beautiful ode to someone really important in his life.

The QB spoke about how amazing a mother and wife Madison is. He thanked her for the kind of love and support she has always shown their family. He even went on to say, “Happy birthday to the best wifey and mama there is. You support and love our family so well and we’re so grateful for you love!” Outside of football, Wentz has had an almost fairy tale story with his wife. The two met during a trip to Haiti on a humanitarian mission. While Madison was one of the do-gooders during the mission, Wentz was representing his charity, The Carson Wentz A01 Foundation. They became quick friends on this trip, started dating in 2017 and married in 2018.

While the QB’s life on the personal front continues to be picture-perfect, his life in the NFL is a little more tumultuous. After his harrowing season with the Commanders, the QB has been sitting unsigned in free agency. Admittedly, his previous season was not one that would incite a lot of confidence among scouts from other NFL teams.

While Wentz has been a great QB in the past, his recent time with the Washington Commanders wasn’t very successful. Even though he had been the number 2 draft pick in his class, Wentz’s recent season was a far cry from a season worthy of a first-round pick. He only started 7 games, losing out his spot to the backup QB. While his first few games did go well, the QB broke a finger in their Week 6 win against the Bears. This led to there being a huge controversy in terms of the Commanders’ QB status. Even after his return in Week 16, he faced some problems.

While he was able to pull off a decent play against their loss to the 49ers, his starter status did not change. Even though he was announced as the starter for Week 17, the QB was benched as he threw 3 interceptions in what ended up being the last game of the Commanders’ season. He was soon released by the Commanders, subsequently opening up a cap space of $26.17 million for them.

All in all, the unrestricted free agent has had a very rough 2022 season. While he remains a free agent in search of a team, it only remains to be seen if the upcoming 2023 season is more fulfilling in terms of his life in the NFL.
